Bugatti and Jacob & Co. have teamed up to create exclusive accessories for those who appreciate luxury automobiles. One of their creations is a watch called the Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon, which is designed to look like a miniature version of the W16 engine. This watch may be small, but it is incredibly intricate in its detailing.
The Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon watch boasts a sapphire crystal plating and is held up by four shock absorbers, allowing the miniature movement to move. The turbo spools, the crankshaft reverses, and the miniature pistons move up and down. Additionally, the watch comes with an energy reserve feature that tracks its 60-hour battery reserve.
It took Jacob & Co. over a year to craft the exquisite timepiece that comprises 578 components. The delicate mechanics are enclosed in a slim black titanium case that measures 54 by 44 millimeters. The watch is secured to the wrist with a rubber strap and a titanium buckle that promises to keep it secure even at speeds exceeding 300 miles per hour.
This isn’t the watchmaker’s first Bugatti homage. Both the previous Twin Turbo Furious and Epic X Chrono models had hints of the French supercar maker in their DNA. But no watch is as luxurious – or as expensive as this.
The Jacob & Co. Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon watch is a pricey investment at $280,000 . It’s a steep cost for a timepiece, considering you could purchase a McLaren for the same price. However, if you can afford a Chiron for $3.0 million, adding this luxury accessory to your collection is a simple feat.
